Description:

The program is offered by the Department of Thermodynamics and Thermal Engines of the Faculty of Design, Construction and Exploitation of Pipeline Transport Systems at Gubkin University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden).

Despite the fact that fossil fuels remain the main source of energy, alternative energy is also developing rapidly worldwide, which determines the prospects for training highly qualified specialists in this area.

During the first year, students receive training in Stockholm, Sweden and during the second year – in Moscow, Russia. Classes and lectures are delivered by the faculty members of Gubkin University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, as well as scientists and industry experts, which allows linking theoretical and practical training, and significantly enriching the program.

Upon completion of the program, students receive a master’s degree diploma from each partner university: the state diploma of a master’s degree in petroleum engineering (Gubkin University) and a Master of Science degree in sustainable energy engineering (KTH Royal Institute of Technology).
